I see a lot of folks starting to make their way back into town after their summer adventures; welcome back! This is the time of year we sell a lot of field grown vine ripened tomatoes from local farms (including ours) and fresh mozzarella delivered weekly from Brooklyn to Ludgate's. Also it's a great time of year to make up huge batches of pesto for the freezer - great in January when there is no green in sight. We have all the best ingredients: fresh basil, pine nuts, extra virgin olive oil, imported parmesan, fresh garlic... Stop by for the olive oil tasting this weekend and pick a nice oil for your pesto or salads or tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.
