Saturday we have a special treat: Dan
"Bisco" Corsaro will be at Ludgate
Farms giving out samples of his homemade Italian Salsa. He makes
this in small batches right here in Central New York from the freshest
and best ingredients. We originally met Dan
("Bisco") because he was in our store buying ingredients for a
batch of salsa. Italian style salsa is a little different than the usual
chunky fresh 'gringo' version that you often find in a jar (of course we
like that too!)... The big difference is the extra virgin olive oil (guess
where he gets that?) ... the olive oil gives this salsa more of a sauce
like texture, so it's great for pasta and rice and seafood not just chips!
So please join us for a salsa tasting Saturday April 27th from 11:00 am
until 3:00 pm.
By the way: our produce
department does have rhubarb now... not quite local yet,
but it's getting closer!
