Last week I mentioned artists. Frog Hill Pottery has some great new glazes this year and we have lots of this new pottery in the store now.  Also Susan Verberg  is an extraordinary photographer. We are the first in the Ithaca area to offer her artwork for sale. Have you seen all the greeting cards we sell from many local artists like Christi Sobel and all the Acorn Designs gang? Have you bought your CSMA calendar yet? We are continuing our third annual set of Autumn Olive Oil Tastings: next tasting is Saturday, Oct. 27th 11 am - 7 pm. Meanwhile at Ludgate Farms; fall harvest is still in full force - pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, apples, cider, cornstalks (broomcorn too!), grapes... check this photo gallery!!  We have a terrific selection of NYS apples from local family farms.  Just a few of the varieties available so far: Cortland, Crispin (Mutsu), Empire, Gala, Honeycrisp, MacIntosh, Macoun, Northern Spy, Red Delicious... later varieties just in: Braeburn, Gala Supreme (a jumbo version), Golden Delicious, Liberty, and Sweet 16, Spy Gold,  Ida Red, Jonagold, Jonathon, Winesap, Melrose and Pound Sweet. Also ORGANIC MILK is still on sale! We are now taking pre orders for fresh Thanksgiving Turkeys. These turkeys are free range, drug free, raised in Vermont and harvested for us on a pre order basis only. Deadline for orders is Nov., 1st!! Please order now. Deposit required.
