We are still holding our first Autumn olive oil tasting despite shortages already in olive oil shipments from the metropolitan area. This Saturday, Sept. 15th 11 am - 7 pm  http://www.ludgatefarms.com/events.html (please bookmark).  Apple season has started and we already have a terrific selection of NYS apples from NY family farms. Every year we get many questions about the apples. Our apples are grown on regular private family farms some of them here in Tompkins County. These apples have not been experimented with in any way: no biotech stuff... no hitech stuff... just plain old apples.  Just a few of the varieties available so far: Burgundy, Cortland, Gala, Gingergold, Honeycrisp, MacIntosh, Paula Red, Red Free. I also wanted to mention that the hardy mums are here and selling fast ( -in case you didn't get that last couple messages... ) and they look really great this year! Also.. we have the same low price we've had for years (5 mums for $19.95) and... this year they are in bigger 8" diameter pots (at the same price as last year's 6" pots!!).
