If your budget for custom invitations is not large, and you are hosting a get-together, party, bridal shower, engagement party, or baby shower or birthday party we also offer a small selection of imprintable invitation designs. These custom invitations are pre-printed with a design, limiting your cost to a single press run to imprint your event details.

For our most budget-conscious clients, and for small informal gatherings such as bridal showers, baby showers, dinner parties, and get-togethers, we also offer an array of custom invitations that can be filled in by hand the old-fashioned way, adding personality and charm to your invitations.

What makes letterpress custom invitations so special and high quality?

Letterpress custom invitations, printed by skilled artists, have a delicate, tactile quality that makes the invitation feel like a work of art. Letterpress custom invitations are created by imprinting a plate into soft cotton paper. The pressure on the paper results in a crisp indentation that gives dimension to the design, and accentuates intricate details.

The paper Hello!Lucky uses to create custom invitations is a thick, 100% cotton fine art paper. The highest quality paper on the market, it is softer than the commercial papers that are used for most other custom invitations and has the added benefit of being tree-free. These papers absorb the indentation of the plate and ink the better than any others, resulting in superior-quality custom invitations.

Most importantly, however, letterpress printed custom invitations are clearly distinguishable from (and superior to) mass-produced alternatives because letterpress printing a small-scale, artisanal craft. A set of custom invitations takes several days to design and print, and the labor involved is reflected in every detail of the finished product, from the saturated colors and soft, cottony paper, to the subtle variations that make each of our custom invitations unique. Letterpress printed custom invitations have more common with fine art than with commercially printed products, and there is therefore no more personalized method for creating custom invitations for your special event.

During this initial consultation, we get to know you and your vision for your event, and begin understanding what you have in mind for your custom invitations, including design, budget, color palette, and tone.

Next, our creative team sketches out design directions, receives your feedback, and refines the design until your custom invitations are perfect and ready to print. The process of designing your custom invitations typically takes 2 - 4 weeks, depending on how many revisions and design directions you request.

Finally, your custom invitations are carefully letterpress printed by skilled artists in our studio and carefully quality controlled.
